The JBT SuperCONTACT crust feeezer is designed for surface freezing of soft products before they enter a spiral freezer. The crust freezer has a roll of food grade plastic foil on which the product is laid. When passing the cold surface of the machine, the lower surface of the product is being shell frozen and can go directly into the spiral freezer, without the product falling through the spiral freezer belt.
